Completing the Student Portfolio Checklist

Greetings Teens,

I hope you are well rested and have gotten the week off to a productive start! This week you are responsible for getting all of the documents you need from your school.

You should ask your counselor for the following things: ACT and SAT Test Scores, and High School Transcripts.

You should also ask your teachers for two letters of recommendation. These letters are very important for you to have in your file. You will need them when applying for scholarships. I have a Recommendation Request Letter for you to give each teacher you request a letter from. If you need one I will be happy to forward it to you. Please ask teachers who you are confident will say positive things about you. (If you can't think of anyone, now is a good time to start being your most professional self in the classroom. Start today showing your teachers how serious you are about your education!)

When you are finished with your High School Activity Resume, please email it to me so that I can review it before we print a final copy. If your resume is empty, please find an activity to sign up for OR make sure you are at church on Wednesday night. Remember, colleges are looking for students who learn inside and outside of the classroom.

We will wait until next week to work on your Personal Statements. I think you have enough to do for now.

Tell your friends to follow the blog. We want to help and support anyone who wants to be successful and plan for college and career.

YOUR $50 for the trip is due on SUNDAY. Please plan to give it to Sis. Sides when you get to church.

Email or text me, or respond to the blog if you have any questions.

Create a great day,

Lady J
